The British royal wedding was the other day and I missed it! First of all, let me say that I understand both sides of dislike / like the monarchy ..... But I do like a nice wedding!
I have seen some of the wedding and the Duchess of Cambridge, looked very beautiful in her dress. Her sister's dress, I liked too but some of the hats .... was just .... weird! But it is fun to see what people wear at occasions like these.
Sweden had a royal wedding last year and it was a great day. Crown Princess Victoria was very beautiful.
I really liket the concert, the day before the wedding. The world got to see some of Sweden's best singers, like: Roxette, Malena Ernman, Helen Sjöholm, Martin Fröst, Salem Al Fakir, Peter Jöback,Sarah Dawn Finer, Rigmor Gustafsson, Lisa Nilsson. But the sweetest part was when a children's choir from Adolf Fredrik's Music School sang for the couple, it was very moving. Look it up!;o) (check my favorits on youtube!)
Anyway, the reason I wanted make a post with the wedding theme is that my friend (I take the liberty to call her my friend because she called me * Intellectual Elly * and i like stuff like that !) wrote a poem about the British royal wedding and I wanted to share it with you.

Arum Lily Laced Love
Exhale; exhale slowly as if to hold in-breathed this moment, soon to have revoked,
Liken to butterfly thoughts that flutter about my head as awakes in me this day,
Rested more than slept; cherishing the warmth of this apprehensive goose-down cloak.
Necessity’s impatient stirrings, urging my breath quicken, and how absurd my delay,
Though precious these foolish non breaths, held tight in my heart as I prepare to rise to my fate,
Jolted in-breath, I have arrived upon the morn of my wedding, eyes wide, heart-skip sauté.
No silence now can be stole as ladies wait and gents coif and breakfast is served late,
Oh now how moves with pace this morn, excited chatter, good-will, scent of spring flowers,
And the gentle moan of lace as it arms embrace, and swoosh of silk on stiffer petticoat mate.
There stand I before me, as veil is slipped over my face and my world alters love-powered,
Breath slightly lost, coming fast as speeds this reality, as the woman-child stands behind the veil,
Brace me do I, as he knew I could when he placed his trust in me; heart-strength towers.
Father smiles, he takes my hand and steers me on afraid of letting go of me, for he knows the tale,
But steadfast father he, my daddy who tells me he is so proud of me and will always there be,
He so lovingly leads his exquisite, slender, arum lily laced love in to the arms of her William Wales.
